FEAR: Function, Elicitors, Appearance and Relationships
How come the same event can cause extreme fear and unease in one individual, while another animal of the same species might enjoy it and even behave voluntarily in order to make it happen?
What even is fear, anyway? What different lenses can we use to examine it from an environment-behavior relationship point of view, and what insights might those different perspectives teach us in terms of how we should prevent and manage it in animals under human care?
In this presentation Stephanie will investigate these questions and take a look at some of the practical approaches to managing fear and unease in animals under human care.
